Who is responsible for your details
Yogi's Deli runs the website at yogisdeli.com and the Yogi's Deli ordering app for Android. When you order, Yogi's Deli decides what happens to the details you give us, so Yogi's Deli is the data controller.
Chefzi provides the website, the app and the ordering system that Yogi's Deli uses, and looks after your details only so that orders can be taken, paid for and delivered. Chefzi acts as our processor for that.
You can contact us on 020 8542 9448 or yogpatel382@gmail.com, or write to us at 3-4 Merton Park Parade, Kingston Road, London, SW19 3NT. Chefzi's own contact for anything about this policy is chefziofficial@gmail.com.
What we collect when you order
To take and deliver an order we need:
- your name and a phone number so we can confirm the order or call you about it;
- an email address, only if you choose to enter one;
- the delivery address, one line, town and postcode, when you choose delivery;
- what you ordered, including the extras and any note you add, and the tip if you leave one;
- how you chose to pay, and the time the order was placed.
We do not ask for your date of birth, and we do not need any other details to take an order.
Card payments
If you pay by cash, or by card when the order is handed over, no card details are entered in the app at all. If card payment is offered online, you are taken to the payment provider's own secure page and we only receive the result: that it was paid, and the amount. Full card numbers never reach us or Chefzi.
What stays on your own device
So that you do not retype everything for the next order, the app saves your name, phone number, email address and the delivery addresses you use, plus a short list of your recent orders so you can follow them.
The website does the same in your browser: your basket is kept in your browser's local storage for twelve hours, and a table booking you make is kept there so the site can show you its status.
None of that is sent anywhere except with the order it belongs to. You can remove a saved address in the app, and clearing the app's data, clearing your browser's site data, or uninstalling the app removes everything stored on your device.
Technical information
Our servers record the address a request came from, the time, and basic technical details such as the app version. We use this to keep the service working and secure, to spot abuse such as repeated fake orders, and to fix crashes. It is not used to build a profile of you or to advertise to you.
What we do not do
- no advertising, and no advertising identifiers;
- we do not sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing;
- no location tracking, and no access to your contacts, camera, microphone or photos;
- no tracking or advertising cookies on this website.
Who we share it with
Only the people who need it to get your food to you:
- our own staff, who prepare and deliver the order;
- Chefzi, which hosts and runs the ordering system;
- the payment provider, and only when you pay by card online;
- our hosting and database providers, Google Cloud (London region) and Supabase, under their data-processing terms;
- an email provider, only to send an order receipt when you give an email address.
We will also share information where the law requires it, for example with a regulator or the police. Everything sent between the app and our servers is encrypted.
How long we keep it
Orders are kept for our accounting and tax records, which in the UK normally means six years. After that the personal details on an order are removed and only the totals remain. Where we have switched on automatic clean-up, names, phone numbers, addresses and notes are removed once the order is older than the period we have set, while the order totals are kept.
Security logs are kept for up to 12 months. Details saved on your phone stay there until you clear them.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your details, ask us to correct or delete them, ask us to restrict what we do with them, or object to how we use them. Ask us first: call 020 8542 9448 or email yogpatel382@gmail.com. If you would rather go to Chefzi, email chefziofficial@gmail.com and Chefzi will pass the request on and help us answer it. We reply within one month.
If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
The website and app are for ordering food from Yogi's Deli. They are not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly keep details from a child under 13. A younger child should order with an adult.

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be pointed out on the website.
